hi all, iv'e been fishing the river for the past 20 years and things have changed!
mainly fish spiecies,big threadfin sambo's, big snapper, and big jew. every year around the months of may/june r HOT,
big tip, if you want the big fish, fresh baits a must.
One quick story in 2006 we bagged our limit of snapper on lite gear 10kg braid! i was told its heavy but the year after we used 30kg braid and got 6 snapper and buster off buy some monsters 10/15kg snapper near the mouth.
my mate got a 20kg threadie, not bad.
i hear people around Australia go up north for river game fish, well let me say us brissies have it also.
i have a week off soon for my next snapper session so let u know how we go.
